Uh Oh, I’m a VW Diesel Owner, what should I do?

Well firstly, don’t panic. There is nothing unsafe regarding your vehicle with regards to the emissions that should concern you from a day to day safety perspective. You can continue to drive your car as normal.

It is known that across the VW Group of cars which includes VW, Audi, Seat & Skoda that its 1.6 and 2.0 Liter diesel models have used sophisticated computer algorithms designed to cheat emissions tests in the United States and elsewhere.

VW has confirmed there are roughly 11 million cars globally affected and it is understood that the EU market has also been affected. At present it is unclear exactly which models in the UK market have the same fraudulent software installed.

The general advice now is simply: wait for regulators and agencies in the UK to re-test VW cars and go from there.
